Match and Veneer Plant is more than 120 years. Our production is the following: plywood, veneer, furniture, matches, that are widely known all over the world.
Industrial activity of the group of enterprise began with the small private enterprise - match factory "Vesuvius" with nine workers producing three thousand boxes of matches. In 1914 the Veneer Plant was constructed and put on sale its first production.
In 1929 match automatic devices were established at the factory, after that the process of matches production was completely mechanized. In 1929 the turnout of matches reached 400 thousand boxes.
On April, 8, 1937 on decision of Soviet of National Commissioners of BSSR Veneer Plant and Match Factory "Vesuvius " incorporated and became Match and Veneer Group of enterprise.
In 1957 the furniture manufacture from bentwood pieces was organized, and in 1970 the group of enterprise formed part of the Production Association "Gomeldrev".
Now Match and Veneer group of enterprise, it is more than one and a half thousand workers, four principal and eleven subsidiary workshops and sites. The annual volume of production is 700 thousand conditional boxes of matches, 20 thousand cubic meters of veneer, 200 thousand units of furniture.
Production of the enterprise is in popular demand in all countries of CIS and works up the international market. The export of veneer increases in Germany, England, Czechia, Poland, Italy.
